We take care of all the details so you can just enjoy your hiking vacation. You will enjoy the companionship of other hikers-kindred spirits from North America and many other countries around the world. Your Hiking Vacation each day is from 5 to 14 miles depending on the trip you choose; gentle exercise or more challenging hiking, gives you a great feeling of accomplishment at the end of your day. Our Hiking Vacations are comprised of solo adventurers, friends, family, college roommates, and walkers who met on a trip the year before. All share a common sense of adventure, and enjoy sharing their experiences with others.
You will stay in authentic and charming inns and bed & breakfasts where your welcoming hosts will make sure you are comfortable. On some of our Hiking Vacations you will spend a night or two in a local hotel. In all cases, we have arranged for accommodations with private bathrooms. Hiking vacations in more remote locations may have shared bathrooms, but the atmosphere of the place more than makes up for the minor inconvenience.
Sampling the culture of an area involves more than meeting the people and seeing the sights. You will have ample opportunity to savour the wine and culinary delights, talk over your Hiking day with friends and companions and then settle into a warm comfortable bed. After a day on your Hiking Vacation discovering ancient footpaths used by Roman soldiers or roads used by shepherds for centuries, you will have earned the right to a refreshing drink, a good meal, great conversation and a good night's sleep.
